The German government wants to procure 138,038 CERs via a tender to offset all business travel lodged in 2013, the country’s environment agency announced on Wednesday.

The German government wants to procure 138,038 CERs via a tender to offset all business travel lodged in 2013, the country’s environment agency announced on Wednesday.

According to the tender document, the credits must be “high quality” and “support positive new developments in the CDM.”

“These include programmatic projects [PoAs] or those in least developed countries [LDCs].”

Germany earlier this year agreed to offset all emissions from the business travel of its government officials starting from the beginning of the current administration.

This tender will be open to offers from national and international CER suppliers between Jan. 22-Mar. 4, 2016.
