Lobby group the Climate Markets and Investment Association (CMIA) have appointed a new executive director after its former ED parted ways with the organisation after two months.

Richard Folland, executive director of Inline Policy and a climate change advisor to US investment bank JP Morgan, has taken over as CMIA’s ED after Gareth Phillips, who took the role in March, recently joined the African Development Bank.

CMIA appointed the Gold Standard’s former CEO Adrian Rimmer earlier this year as the organisation’s president, succeeding Anthony Hobley, who is now CEO of the Carbon Tracker Initiative.
