CarbonPool is seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Officer to be based at its head office in Zurich (though commuting may be possible).

WHO ARE WE? CarbonPool is a 15-person team comprised of experienced insurance industry executives, climate scientists, weather and capital modellers, forestry and finance experts.

WHAT DO WE DO? Our mission is to insure the world’s path to net zero. We are fully-funded, established in early 2023 out of Zurich and we are building the world’s first regulated insurance company that insures carbon removal credits and pays claims in carbon, not in cash.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? CarbonPool is seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Officer to be based at its head office in Zurich (though commuting may be possible).

We want to hear from you if:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in product sales at a start-up or new company.
  • You have a record of setting, meeting and exceeding sales targets with an average sale size of $1 million or more.
  • You have the demonstrated ability to run a sales function, from building a business case, segmenting customers, refining product/market fit, pipeline development and CRM management.
  • You have a carbon markets background and a strong network with a range of carbon market participants.
  • You are a compelling and committed sales professional with a demonstrated ability to explain complex products.
  • You have strong leadership, organizational, communication and writing skills. You’re a good storyteller and a persuasive, persistent person.
  • You are an energetic, positive, proactive team player, a creative thinker and a fast learner.
  • You are an EU citizen or otherwise have authorization to work in Switzerland.
  • You think that you have what it takes to do this job, even if you don’t tick all the above boxes.
