Eneco head of carbon trading has left the firm to become director of wholesale & trading with UK-based renewable energy provider Good Energy plc, he told Carbon Pulse.

Mark Meyrick had been with the Netherlands-headquartered company since 2010, but from mid-September will based in Chippenham, Witshire – some 96 miles west of London.

“It’s with some sadness I leave the carbon market after all these years, but I really believe in Good Energy’s mission, and the challenge of helping them move forward as a key enabler of their growth plans is one I am very excited to meet,” said Meyrick, who had worked in emissions trading for 12 years.

Eneco’s Jan-Willem Beukers will reportedly take over managing the firm’s Rotterdam-based emissions desk.
