About this role

As the Manager, Business Development (Market Intelligence), you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base for our market data and research sales, underpinned by our EnergyIQ intelligence platform.

You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, onboarding new customers, and managing the sales cycle.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Account management: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships with strategic decision makers and senior stakeholders to ensure they utilise our content, maximise value, and help translate account needs into business opportunities.
  • Briefings: Run client meetings and deliver presentations that illustrate the value of our energy/environmental markets insights and data offering.
  • Renewals: Oversee the renewal process for B2B SaaS / data subscriptions, ensuring timely renewals and minimising churn. Oversee planning and executing the account management schedule including regular touch points.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities through various channels, including networking events, strategic outreach, and marketing campaigns.
  • Client Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and successful implementation of our solutions.
  • Salesforce: Utilise Salesforce to maintain accurate pipeline and sales information and develop reports on overall activity.

Your skills and experience

You have a strong interest in the energy transition and industrial decarbonisation.

You are an energetic, self-motivated sales professionals with at least 3 years experience managing high-profile customer accounts and developing new business.

You have in depth, proven experience working in energy commodities.

You have excellent presentation skills and proven ability to work with senior stakeholders.

You enjoy intellectual engagement with technical content.

You have strong proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
