German emissions bourse EEX will launch monthly and quarterly EUA futures contracts from Apr. 1, it said on Wednesday.
The monthly contracts will cover the current and next two months, while the quarterly futures will cover the current and next 11 quarters, EEX said in a note to members.
The bourse will continue to offer annual December-expiry futures as well.
EEX said it will also migrate its spot EUA, EUAA and CER contracts to its T7 trading system from ComXerv, meaning all of the exchange’s emissions products will be available on one system but that the spot product codes will change.
