EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field
- Honours degree in mechanical, thermodynamic, process, or electrical engineering highly advantageous
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in the design of energy optimisation and efficiency projects in emerging markets
- Embedded understanding of the African thermal energy industry as well as other energy efficiency technologies (heat pumps, chillers, waste heat recovery systems, heat exchangers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate closely with business development teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for clients’ decarbonization needs
- Create technical solutions for projects, assess vendor proposals, and manage third-party consultants
- Provide guidance on energy efficiency initiatives and streamline processes
- Support the handover of projects to the engineering and construction team
- Guide the design and contractual framework, ensuring clarity among all parties involved in project execution
