Swiss Federal Council brings EU 2020 carbon market link a step closer

Switzerland’s Federal Council on Wednesday approved measures paving the way for the linking agreement between the country’s carbon market and the EU ETS to enter into force on Jan. 1, 2020, but the physical connection between the two schemes appears delayed until next spring.
