Job Summary

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy focused on market expansion, and revenue generation. Main Responsibilities

Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with ecosecurities’ goals, focusing on the local market expansion and revenue generation.

Execution:

  • Identify and pursue potential partnerships, collaborations with technology providers and project owners, for the development of carbon projects in the country.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to finance and develop carbon projects in the country.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to project finance and off take agreements with local governments and companies, for international carbon projects.
  • Identify and pursue potential partnerships, collaborations with technology providers and project owners, for the development of international projects.
  • Conduct the business development, investment opportunities, offtake of carbon credit opportunities, connection of local markets with international markets and projects, and origination of new local projects in the country, . from inception to project operation
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners and government, understanding their needs and provide tailored solutions related to climate agenda and local carbon markets.

Internal Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as technical, finance, and legal to ensure the successful execution of projects and contracts while maintaining alignment with the company’s mission and values.
  • Stay informed about local industry trends, local market dynamics, and regulatory changes in the local carbon market, and report it internally.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 10 years of Business Development experience, with a background in carbon industry, to identify and pursue high-value opportunities.
  • Demonstrate proven track record in originating new business prospects, showcasing your ability to undercover potential partnerships, and investments that alight with our goals.
  • Show a deep understanding of deal structuring and financial analysis within the carbon market; utilizing your expertise in evaluating complex projects and investments.
  • Ability of combining commercial acumen with financial and commercial structures for new project developments, including the ability to design and negotiate contracts and report financial outcomes.
  • Mindset of clear and honest assessment of the market situation and outlook, and proposed way forward.
  • Display exceptional contract negotiation skills, leveraging your experience to draft, review and negotiate agreements with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that new business opportunities are aligned with our strategic objectives and adhere to industry standards and best practices while also mitigating potential risks.
  • Ability to drive deals to successful closure, showcasing your aptitude for overcoming obstacles, securing the necessary approvals and finalizing agreements.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Interest, enthusiasm and willingness to work and grow in an entrepreneurial environment with a reputable brand within the global carbon markets.
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken.
