The Gold Standard seeks a highly motivated individual to join our Standard development and Innovation team. It’s a full-time position responsible for leading the assurance review of our projects with a focus on mitigation solutions under the Energy scope. The position reports to Manager – Assurance review management (Energy). This is a remote position depending on country location (India, Germany, UK).

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Lead comprehensive reviews of projects seeking Gold Standard certification, including thorough assessment of methodology application, emission reduction calculations, and sustainable development impacts
  • Evaluate project documentation, monitor reports, and verification statements against Gold Standard requirements, ensuring compliance with rules and procedures across the project cycle
  • Prepare insightful and regular reports on key findings related to VVB performance for Governance Committee reviews, influencing critical decisions.
  • Innovatively contributes to the development of comprehensive training materials for VVBs, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and best practices.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience of working with certification or third-party auditing system and in-depth knowledge of how they are managed
  • A good understanding of the role of a Standard system like Gold Standard, CDM.
  • Experience of working with activities such as renewable energy deployment
  • Experience with digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) technologies in energy projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks and projects
  • A good team player with a positive outlook on work and a desire to make a difference in the world
