ICIS-Tschach’s director for Chinese carbon markets left the company on Friday, but two new hires will join over the coming months, Carbon Pulse has learned.

Jian Wei Lim had headed ICIS-Tschach’s China carbon analysis team since July 2013, but left to pursue opportunities in Beijing with another company in the emissions market, he told Carbon Pulse, without saying which firm he would join.

Lim had previously been a business analyst for the Pan Pacific Hotels Group in Singapore.

Analyst Simon Chen will take over Lim’s role as ICIS-Tschach’s head analyst for the Chinese emissions market, in a team that also includes Sisi Tang.

According to sources, ICIS-Tschach is in the process of finalising two new hires who will join the China team over the next few months.
