SCM0011 - a methodology for avoided deforestation on smallholdings - is now open for public consultation until Dec. 17, and is being piloted with Quilombola communities in Brazil, the foundation said on LinkedIn. The methodology maps deforestation pressure using comparable neighbouring smallholder land, uses a Livelihood Vulnerability Index (LVI) to ensure the most climate-vulnerable farmers are prioritised, and guarantees a 50% revenue share to participating smallholders.
