- Mon 11:18Interest sought - Australia’s climate change and energy department on Monday published an invitation for Expressions of Interest (EoI) for possible project developers who could help design and deliver the First Nations Clean Energy Program. This, Canberra says, will be a key part of the Labor government’s First Nations Clean Energy Strategy. The government seeks to boost First Nations people’s leadership and participation in the clean energy sector. It is seeking non-binding EoIs to deliver pilot projects and products and services to help First Nations people access information about clean energy projects, which it calls the Clean Energy Toolkit.

- Mon 10:25Farmers' market - India's eastern state of Odisha has launched a pilot carbon project to reward farmers for adopting regenerative practices, local media outlet Krishi Jagran reported. The state government partnered with Hyderabad-based International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) to pilot the project in three districts, aiming to promote techniques like alternate wetting and drying in paddy cultivation with GHG measurement and digital MRV systems. It follows several farmer-centric carbon credit generation pilots being implemented in various Indian states recently.

- Mon 06:44Waste credits - The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) in the Indian state of Maharashtra is planning to set up a scientific sanitary landfill for inert waste, aiming to improve solid waste management and reduce environmental risks, the Times of India reported. Nagpur generates about 1,200-1,300 tonnes of solid waste on a daily basis, out of which only 200 tonnes is processed per day by a small mobile unit by Netherlands-based SusBDe, leaving a wide treatment gap. A full-scale plant is expected to be completed by November, which will ramp up the capacity to 450 tonnes per day. Under the agreement, SusBDe is expected to produce up to 27 tonnes of compressed biogas annually and share the proceeds of carbon credits with NMC.
