European carbon ended June with the largest month-on-month increase since January as the benchmark EUA contract wiped out early losses with a Friday afternoon surge, shrugging off growing bearish sentiment based on fundamentals, while energy prices also gained strongly as traders eyed the supply outlook for the coming quarter.
