Broker Tullett Prebon is seeking to bolster its US environmental products business with a new senior hire, it said on Friday.

The company last week appointed Andrew Kolchins as managing director, environmental products at its New York office, Tullett Prebon said in a statement.

“He will work to grow a global environmental markets business that works closely with traders, developers, and financiers of various environmental products including but not limited to RECs, carbon offsets and emission reduction credits,” it added.

Kolchins, who was previously owner and MD of renewable energy markets at Titan Energy Markets, will report to Christopher W. Grosso, senior MD of Energy & Commodities.

Kolchins will be joined by John Dall, an 18-year veteran of the energy markets, who was also previously at Titan.

“An over fifteen-year veteran of the energy industry, Andrew is recognized as a market pioneer given his early entry in to the REC markets. He has been instrumental in its growth, liquidity and transparency helping bring the market to what it is today,” Grosso said.

“This is a very exciting hire for Tullett Prebon and I look forward to working with Andrew as we continue to build our US and global presence.”
