About RepuTex

RepuTex is the leading provider of price information, analysis and advisory services for the Australian carbon and electricity markets.

Our market intelligence, forecasts and modelling is used by over 150 customers across Australia and Asia-Pacific – including federal and state policymakers, high emitting companies, traders and financial institutions.
We are an SME with a fast-paced, high-growth, start-up mentality, coupled with a strong history of providing trusted, data-driven analysis for our customers.

Our research is respected, and impactful, with our advisory work informing the development of Australia’s national emission target, state emissions targets, and the design of key policy and emissions market mechanisms. In addition, our carbon market and price insights help to drive driving trading and strategic decisions within Australia’s largest energy and carbon market participants – be they ASX 50 companies, big 4 banks, or global trading houses.

As the market transitions toward net-zero emissions, we strive see our research continue to drive change across the regional energy industry.

We are looking for an analyst to join our Australian carbon market and advisory team. Based in Melbourne, the role will work to develop and implement our forecast models for Australian carbon market fundamentals, and carbon offset prices, including analysis of:

• demand side market influences (emissions projections, greenhouse gas abatement costs, sectoral decarbonisation pathways, technology uptake and behavioural factors)
• supply side market influences (carbon offset project pipeline, technical and realisable carbon sequestration potential, supply side costs and timing)
• specific policy settings (national and regional targets, compliance policy, other incentive schemes, etc); and
• market prices and dynamics (e.g. simulation of market/policy rules, behaviour, trends, etc.)

• Detailed technical research such as technology uptake rates, costs, sectoral and economic trends, and so on.
• Creation of research content including charts, graphs, forecasts and other quantitative content, along with qualitative analysis and outlooks
