As part of the Consultancy and Services team, you will mainly support our Sustainable Supply Chain and Forestry experts by conducting research tasks related to forestry, land use and agriculture. You will seek, organise and generate data and will support our team with the preparation of deliverables for mandates and business development products.

Intern Sustainable Supply Chains and Forestry (100%)

based in Jakarta, Indonesia

This position is an unique opportunity to apply and enhance the skills you acquired at university. As part of the Consultancy and Services team, you will mainly support our Sustainable Supply Chain and Forestry experts by conducting research tasks related to forestry, land use and agriculture. You will seek, organise and generate data and will support our team with the preparation of deliverables for mandates and business development products. If you are an enthusiastic and dynamic person with relevant academic background and passionate about helping to fight climate change as part of your daily work, then we are looking for you!

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Conduct research in areas related to sustainable supply chains, forestry, land use and agriculture
  • Support in preparing project deliverables related to sustainable supply chains, forestry and climate change
  • Participate in proposal preparation activities related to South Pole Group’s sustainability topics
  • Support business development research and activities for Indonesia, the rest of Southeast Asia and globally

Your profile

  • An University degree (just completed or in the last semester of studies) in Agriculture, Forestry, Natural Resources Economics, Environmental Science, or related disciplines
  • A Master’s degree is an advantage
  • Previous work experience is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Fully comfortable in conducting research tasks and creating reports
  • Independent, proactive and initiative driven
  • Diligent and reliable personality
  • Excellent oral and written command of English and Bahasa Indonesia. Other languages such as Spanish, German or French are a strong advantage
  • Experience using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is desirable
  • Indonesian nationality or holder of a valid work permit is a must
