Head of European Power and Emissions Trading

Workplace – Warsaw

– Master’s degree, preferred economics, technical-engineering
– Thorough knowledge of the European electricity market;
– Knowledge of the CO2 emission allowance market;
– The documented “P / L track record” will be an additional asset;
– Minimum 5 years of experience in the area of ​​trading in electricity, natural gas or CO2 emission allowances (preferred experience from trading on the EEX, EPEX Spot and ICE exchanges);
– Experience in team management;
– Knowledge of risk management principles;
– Skills to make decisions under stress;
– Availability;
– Analytical skills;
-Negotiation Skills;
– Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients;
– Exchange Broker certificate, EEX and ICE licenses are welcome;
– Ms Office – level min. advanced;
– English at the level enabling free business communication in both speech and writing

Range of activities

– Co-creation of the company’s strategy on the European electricity markets and emission allowances;
– Concluding transactions for the benefit of the Capital Group on the electricity and emission allowances market;
– Preparation and implementation of market strategies in the above-mentioned respect;
– Execution of exchange and over-the-counter transactions;
– Management of the strategy for purchasing cross-border transmission capacities;
– Establishing and maintaining business relations with the participants markets;
– Reporting market activities, cooperation with risk services and portfolio management services;
– Cooperation with banks and clearing houses competent for regulated markets on which the company operates;
– Administration, management of accounts established in the Union Registry, operations related to the cancellation and transfer of units between accounts.
– Transaction reporting according to REMIT / EMIR / MIFID2.
