Our client is seeking a Cap-and-Trade CITTS Coordinator, ideally you will have previous experience or at least an interest in developing a career in carbon trading with a foundation in trading or environmental economics, experience from 2+ years will be considered and perhaps up to 6 years experience would put you at the right level of experience for this role.

Ontario, Canada |US$30 – US$45 per hour |Contract

Our client is seeking a Cap-and-Trade CITTS Coordinator, ideally you will have previous experience or at least an interest in developing a career in carbon trading with a foundation in trading or environmental economics, experience from 2+ years will be considered and perhaps up to 6 years experience would put you at the right level of experience for this role.

Overview:

  • Manage and maintain the companies CITSS status
  • Develop and maintain carbon market readiness Microsoft Project plans; complete follow-ups and communicate with affected group to ensure timely implementation
  • Manage payment processes for bi-lateral or offset transactions
  • Assist in the maintenance of the companies capped participant list
  • Work with Large Business Account (“LBA”) to advise of new capped participant (annually)
  • With the assistance of LBA, retain a list of closed/modified capped participant’s account numbers
  • Maintain, implement and continually improve carbon market readiness checklists
  • Develop and maintain carbon market readiness Microsoft Project plans; complete follow-ups and communicate with affected group to ensure timely implementation

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Related university degree or a technical diploma or related oil and gas or pipeline field experience
  • 2-6 years of work experience.
  • Ability to comprehend regulatory and technical issues.
  • Ability to communicate to a wide audience, including employees, all levels of management and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience or willingness to learn about Cap and Trade and GHG reporting
  • University degree in Engineering, Business/Commerce or Economics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Previous regulatory experience would be an asset; project management designation an asset
