The Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA) is an alliance of Australian health stakeholder groups who work together to highlight the links between climate change and human health and to promote the health and environmental benefits available from effective climate action.

The Climate and Health Alliance is building on its work on climate change and health through investing in this senior leadership role to help achieve a national strategic public policy response to addressing the impacts of climate change on health, and support the expansion of a regional network (Australia and New Zealand) of green hospitals and health services to accelerate the transition to low carbon healthcare.

This role provides an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Executive Director with strong stakeholder management and proven fundraising skills to lead this innovative and highly regarded organisation, and its coalition of health groups in advocacy for action on climate change in Australia and, with its international partners, at the global level.

As ED, you will provide strategic leadership on advocacy, policy and communications on behalf of CAHA’s members. Superior organisational and stakeholder management skills, political nous, effective campaigning skills, and the ability to engage positively across a broad spectrum of supporters and collaborators from the health professions, government, philanthropy and business are essential.

A background in health is not essential; more important is your commitment to the organisation’s goals, and your ability to deliver an ambitious workplan to achieve them.

CAHA is a member of Climate Action Network Australia, a founding member of the Global Climate and Health Alliance, and the Australian affiliate and partner of the international non-government organisation, Health Care Without Harm.
