Rocky Mountain Institute is seeking candidates for a Manager position in our emerging global climate program. All US based office locations will be considered for this position.
The Manager will help lead the design and implementation of an initiative to accelerate the establishment of green investment banks in emerging markets. This will include research on GIB models and how they would interact with other parts of the climate finance architecture such as the multilateral development banks, development finance institutions, and multilateral climate funds. The Manager would play a key role in developing a complex multi-stakeholder partnership (including government officials, NGOs, philanthropies, international financial institutions, and private investors). He or she will help facilitate work between entities, create collaborations when appropriate, and seek to help build capacity within the field. The Manager will also have the opportunity to participate in other global climate finance initiatives, as well as the broader work of Rocky Mountain Institute.
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience in business, economics, environmental management or another relevant field
- Six plus years experience in one or more of our areas of focus – buildings efficiency, renewable energy, the electricity system, China energy strategy, vehicles energy efficiency, city and community energy use, sustainable finance
- Four plus years of experience as a multidisciplinary team manager in project-based work environment.
This position will be located in any of our US based office locations: Basalt or Boulder, Colorado, New York City or Washington, D.C.
